The AirLink GX450 from Sierra Wireless is a 4G cellular gateway designed for mobile applications. It is used for in-vehicle where
mission-critical connectivity is required. Some of the mobile-specific features in this cellular router include a rugged design,
GPS, and the ability to automatically switch to Wi-Fi networks as required. More specifically, the GX450 meets the MIL-STD-810G
specification for shock and vibration and is IP64 rated against dust and water.
Like the stationary Sierra Wireless cellular gateways, the GX450 supports present and future hi-speed LTE networks. For security,
up to 5 VPN tunnels are available to ensure secure communications plus port filtering and trusted IP are available to protect
devices connected to your GX450. From a device management perspective, the Sierra Wireless GX450 is compatible with the AirVantage
Management Service (AVMS) to allow you to remotely configure, update and monitor your devices in the field.
The GX450 provides wired connections for Ethernet, Serial and USB devices; the Ethernet model provides an additional 2 Ethernet
ports. The I/O model adds 4 digital I/O, 4 analog, and a second serial port while the Wi-Fi option adds 802.11b/g/n to make your
GX450 a Wi-Fi hotspot.
As a mobile gateway, the GX450 is DC-powered.
